Session Titles

Ocho's session titles are mirrored with Claude and Codex, making it easy to find sessions across different machines and contexts.

Naming a Session

After you send the first message, you will see a title such as "Forecast command cities." You can rename a session at any time.

In Claude Code or Codex, type /rename and the new name:

/rename Weather API

In any terminal, use ocho rename:

ocho rename studio SESSION "Weather API"

This name is mirrored across the agent's TUI, Slack, iMessage, and in ocho sessions.

Ocho titles each new session automatically. After your first message, a low-cost model writes a two- or three-word title, using the session's own account. A name you give the session yourself always replaces it. To turn automatic titles off, run:

ocho plugin disable session-titles

Finding a Session by Title

You can view titles in ocho sessions and search titles with ocho sessions find. You can also resume a session by its title:

ocho resume "Weather API"
