Terminal Emulators

You can use Ocho in any terminal, for example Ghostty, iTerm, Terminal, Warp, Kitty, and the terminals built into Zed, VS Code or Cursor.

After you run ocho new, the session opens directly in the current tab.

Even if you close the tab or the connection drops, the agent keeps running. To return to the session, run ocho resume or ocho attach.

Rex

Ocho comes with a plugin that lets it integrate seamlessly into your Rex workflow. You can install it using the following command:

ocho rex install

Keyboard Shortcuts

Ocho's Rex plugin includes the following shortcuts. You can also find these actions under the Ocho category in the Rex command palette.

Starting Sessions on Other Rex Hosts

When starting a session on another Rex host, you can choose where the session opens:

Rex remembers the choice you made for each host. Each host must also be an Ocho machine with the same name.

Letting Agents Start Helper Agents

An agent running in Rex can start helper agents in new tabs (on your Mac or on other hosts) and talk with them:

ocho rex start --machine redwood --agent codex "Run the tests and fix failures"
ocho rex wait ID
ocho rex send ID "Yes, go ahead."
